Given our experience in the wine industry, we were super excited for the opportunity to work with one of its major players. If you’re an oenophile unfamiliar with Moore Brothers Wine Company, then you are in for a treat. They’ve created the only fully integrated supply chain in the wine industry. They work with small (mostly organic and sustainable) family-owned winegrowers and import the wine under perfect temperature control to one of their three retail locations. They always have wine open for sampling at their Tasting Table. Even the stores are kept at perfect cellar temperature.
But in an industry which has seen large declines in recent years, Moore Brothers wasn’t content to follow those industry trends. So, they reached out to the Matson Group.
We started with our C.O.R.E Analysis, which identified several underserved customer cohorts. We did a UX audit of common customer flows, redesigned email templates, created new email promotions, and implemented best practices. The results were immediate: increased AOVs, an almost 50% lift in engagement, and growing revenue in a shrinking industry!
